Coming from FCPX, it is definitely a bit of a learning curve, but I find it so much easier to grade with and I honestly feel like Resolve just does more. With that said, I highly recommend checking out Resolve. or just use something like an Atomos Ninja to shoot in ProRes Raw.

I believe color finale offers a transcoder for around $60 USD but I have not tried it myself.Īlternatively, you could probably use the free version of resolve to do an initial grade and then work with FCPX for the rest of the project.
